Make Your Own Body Lotion
Â
RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons jojoba oil
- 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (e.g., lavender, rose, or citrus for fragrance)
 Instructions:
In a heatproof bowl, melt the shea butter and coconut oil together using a double boiler. Alternatively, you can use the microwave in short 10-second bursts until fully melted.
Once melted, remove the bowl from heat and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes. You want the mixture to begin to solidify around the edges but still be partially liquid.
Add the jojoba oil and your chosen essential oil to the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. The essential oil provides fragrance and additional skin benefits.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes or until the mixture starts to harden around the edges but is still somewhat soft in the center. You want it to be semi-solid but not fully set.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the partially solidified mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. This can take a few minutes of whipping, so be patient.
Once you achieve a creamy texture, transfer the body lotion into a clean glass jar or container with an airtight lid.
Store the shea butter body lotion in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. It will continue to solidify over time, but it will soften when applied to the skin.
To use, apply a small amount to your body as needed. The lotion will melt upon contact with your skin, leaving it soft and moisturized.
This homemade shea butter body lotion    provides deep hydration and nourishment to   your skin. Enjoy!
Make Your Own Lip Balm
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons shea butter
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets
- 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (e.g., peppermint, vanilla, or lavender for fragrance)
 Instructions:
In a heatproof bowl, combine the shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax pellets.
Create a double boiler by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir the mixture gently as it melts. Alternatively, you can melt the ingredients in the microwave using short 10-second bursts, stirring between each burst.
Once the mixture is completely melted and well combined, remove it from the heat source.
Quickly add 10-15 drops of your chosen essential oil for fragrance. Stir well to evenly distribute the fragrance throughout the mixture.
Carefully pour the hot liquid lip balm into small lip balm containers or empty lip balm tubes. Be cautious not to overfill them.
Allow the lip balm to cool and solidify, which may take about 20-30 minutes. You can place them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
Once solidified, cap the lip balm containers or tubes.
Use the shea butter lip balm whenever your lips need moisturizing and protection. Apply as often as desired for soft and hydrated lips.
Store your homemade shea butter lip balm in a   cool, dry place to maintain its consistency.
This lip balm provides excellent hydration and   keeps  your lips feeling smooth and soft.

Make Your Own Relaxing Scented Shea Butter Candle - Great For Room Fragrance & Relaxing Massage
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shea butter
- 1 cup soy wax flakes
- A wick with a wick holder
- A few drops of your preferred candle fragrance oil or essential oil
- Candle dye (optional for color)
- A heatproof container or mold for the candle
- Double boiler or microwave-safe container
- Stirring utensil
 Instructions:
Prepare Your Workspace:
- Cover your workspace with newspaper or parchment paper to catch any wax or shea butter spills.
Prepare the Wick:
- Attach the wick to the bottom of your chosen container or mold. Use a wick holder or adhesive to secure it in the center.
Melt the Shea Butter and Wax:
- In a double boiler or a microwave-safe container, melt the shea butter and soy wax flakes. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until both are fully melted and combined. Be cautious not to overheat.
Add Fragrance and Color (Optional):
- Once the shea butter and wax are melted, add a few drops of your preferred candle fragrance oil or essential oil. Stir well to evenly distribute the scent.
- If you want to add color to your candle, stir in a small amount of candle dye. Adjust the amount to achieve your desired color.
Pour the Mixture:
- Carefully pour the melted shea butter and wax mixture into the prepared container or mold with the wick in the center.
Let the Candle Cool:
- Allow the candle to cool and solidify at room temperature for several hours. It’s best to let it sit undisturbed until it’s completely firm.
Trim the Wick:
- Once the candle has cooled and solidified, trim the wick to your desired length, leaving about 1/4 inch above the candle’s surface.
Curing and Burning:
- Allow the candle to cure for at least 24-48 hours before burning it. This gives the fragrance time to set.
- When ready to use, light the candle and enjoy the soothing scent and warm, soft glow it provides.
Always follow safety precautions when making and burning candles, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Enjoy the comforting ambiance and aroma of your homemade scented shea butter candle.
